When I turned 21 last year, I made a list that I posted on the blog about "21 things I want to do while I'm 21." As I am now 22, I thought I'd see how reality met up with the list. It was all very cute and idealistic and whatever, but completely unreasonable.
Considering that, I actually did manage to cross off a few things on the list:

Road trip with friends
Okay, I'm going to count this as crossed off, because it kind of was a big deal for me. Over Memorial Day weekend, my friend Joanna and I visited our friend Hannah at Ann Arbor! It was a very cute reunion since we hadn't seen each other in a while. We drove from Chicago to Ann Arbor. Road trip? I'm going to say yes.

Go on a cruise
This one totally counts. My family spent Christmas on a cruise ship in the Bahamas. I feel bougie just typing that sentence. It was (I'm assuming) quite expensive, and only happened because of my sister's job and my parents' generosity, and I feel quite lucky to be in that sweet spot of being supported by my parents while also making my own money. You might even say that I'm #blessed.
Cook with alcohol
The skinny on this: 21 year-old Eunice thinks alcohol will suddenly become delicious when she turns 21. It does not. Leftover wine meets chocolate cake mix, and mediocre chocolate cake happens. I'll maybe try something else, but tbh I'm not really a fan. Oh well.

Take a cooking class
I'm wondering if this counts. I had a cooking lab as a part of my coursework. So technically, it was a whole semester worth of "cooking class." I'm saying it does because it makes me feel like I've accomplished something.
Watch Friends
I can't believe this was on the list. But it was, and I watched it. I mean, it was on Netflix, okay?
Book a flight and hotel on my own
Pretty self-explanatory. Over the summer, I had a few trips that required air travel and hotels and I booked them like a big girl. Maybe I'll write about how I keep travel costs at a minimum because that's never been done on the Internet before.

Go to Vegas
Even though I've been to Las Vegas before, I think I put this on the list because I was now old enough to gamble. I went to help out my dad for work, so it wasn't "fun," but I don't think I'm a Vegas-type person.
So that's 7/21. While it kind of sucks that I didn't make it through the list, I don't feel like I missed out. I'm sure there will be plenty of opportunity for cool things in the coming year. Maybe I'll make a list for 22, but only time will tell.
All the best,
Eunice :)
