Edit: I swear I meant to put this up a couple weeks ago. But you know how it goes...
For some reason, shopping on vacation is inevitable, and it's honestly a small miracle that I only bought three things (though none of them strictly necessary). But what can I say? They're super cute and I love 'em. Let's get on into it, shall we?
First: the coolest pair of sunglasses on the face of the planet. And I'm only exaggerating a little bit. I picked these up in Wynwood at an artist's stall (can't remember the name!) but I knew I had to have them. The bright blue and the red/orange mirrored lenses just spoke to my heart. Yes, they will clash with everything I own, but I mean, come on- wearing animal faces is something people associate with me, so it's not like my fashion sense is getting any worse.
Second: a necklace that makes me feel like a cool kid. I feel like jewelry with these gems are an "in" thing right now (or, you know, it was and I'm just late to the game), so I'm just following the crowd. Sue me. But also, look how pretty that color is!
Third (and last): these sweet kicks! I've always wanted a pair of slip-ons (and I almost bought a pair with Micky Mouse print on them), and these fit my aesthetic perfectly. They say "I'm cool! I swear!" Not gonna lie, they are a little bit big (read: uncomfortable), but I think someone once said something about suffering for art. And I think my presence fits into that category.
So there's that! I limited myself, and I'm quite happy with my purchases. I of course spent wayyy too much money on food... but that's another story. :)
What do you spend your money on when you're on vacation? I know my dad is obsessed with buying those hat/t-shirt combos at any and all vacation stops...
All the best,
